To find the bandit camp (I think that's your problem)
In Beregost there is a mage on the second floor after you have cleared out the Nashkel Mines. Comfront him and get the info about the bandit camp. (and it will be placed on the world map)
Alternatively - In both Larswood and Peldvale there are a 'bandit chief'. Talk to either of them and say that you want to join them - then you'll be 'teleported' to the candit camp(posted by Ar-Cunin)
What second level(where)?
