The laboratory is just next to the thayvians. There's a room directly south with a woman and her pet chimera, you'll have to kill them (or I did), the laboratory's in there [img]smile.gif[/img]
To get in the wizard tower you have to click on the portal thingies in the right order, I can't remember exactly but I know it made a star. Just trial and error, shouldn't take long, there's only 5 (6?) portals
