I voted for BG2:SOA/TOB, but I feel I need to cite my reasons...
1. I like the scope of BG2 -- the game world is huge, but not too huge like in BG1, where searching every house can get dragging.
2. Continuity from BG1, which is the first Black Isle game RPG game I played and the first good PC AD&D game in a long while.
3. Subplots & Romances -- sometimes a bit cheesy, but it was funny cheesy.
Having said that, I'd still like to say that IWD2 rocks because of the implementation of the 3E rules. If I had one wish it'd be for Black Isle to re-release BG2 with 3E rules. (While I'm at it, I also wish that they'd give back Moon Elves and Wild Elves their infravision).
Oh, and you CAN create a 6-man party in BG1 and BG2 -- you just miss out on the NPC subquests and interactions.
Just my 2 cents.
