I dunno which one is the best, but the one I prefer is IWD 2, for three reasons:
1/ 3rd edition rules.
2/ Creation of the entire party.
3/ I can play an all drow party.
Though it is not perfect: It is linear as a freight train and HoF could be better implemented [/RANT]
