As for 30 years after... BAH!
That might be a technical problem with HUMAN characters (them being in their retirement and all)
but what about the other races?
Elves live for 900 years or more! 30 years later to an elf is nothing!
even for many of the other races its no big fuss.
halfelves live for 250, dwarves for 250 to 350 and gnomes for up to 600.
i wanna use my old characters! *cries*
