Oh yeah, the lost xp is usually not too much. For instance the lizardmen at the start of chapter 3 are worth what, 5,000 xp total on core rules?
And that is exactly what I'm doing, I only call them when I'm having unanticipated problems with a fight (or against things they can't kill [img]smile.gif[/img] ).
