NobleNick is (one of) our resident powergamers. He loves the Fighter/Cleric dualclass, for reasons I can't quite fathom. Seems like overkill to me.

I go for the MC F/C - the HP dropoff isn't much, and removes the "need" to have two d/c fighter/clerics in the same party to cover the healing requirements. Besides, I've always found that a MC F/C is a good enough fighter. Same for the druid - the d/c druid is just too hard to roll, the hp loss isn't much, and having both fighter and druid (or cleric) abilities available during the entire game is something I like.
Tip: If you feel like playing the game again with a superparty, do it on insane - it adds enough monsters to keep you from getting bored, and the double XP is handy to offset the hit to multiclass characters, especially spellcasters.
