Yes, but that's due to the door and the doorframe being damaged on each kick. The game doesn't emulate this. Allright, maybe it's not so realistic as I thought.

Maybe, but a detect traps skill of 40% doesn't indicate an expert trapfinder, the guy has much yet to learn. And it seems to me that a master trapsetter could set a trap that would be completely invisible to someone with lower than, say, 70% or so in detect traps.
