An all Gnome party sounds good to me - small is best as far as Midget Gems is concerned. It is unfair that there are no small people who can be a Bard in IWD, I had to wait for IWD2 before I could have a true sing-along midget party.

I played through IWD with two non-standard parties, but then again I always play with crazy combinations. Both these parties have featured in my previous posts, so you might remember them.

For my second time through the game I wanted something more challanging than 6 super-heroes, with great stats so I gave each character a dice roll of just 80 points. I made most of the characters dual or multi-class with the result that I had to make some tough choices on where, or where not, to put the points. Result was a good challenging game with me having to work to earn the victories.

For a really great role-playing adventure I invented my 'Mr & Mrs Midget' party. The three men did all the fighting while the three girls shouted encouragement and collected the loot. I figured the guys would be forever having to rescue the girls from danger but not so, the three non-fighters made a big contribution. It was a proud moment to reach the end of the game and see the information stats for 3 high level characters with no 'kills' or 'XP gained' against their names.

I am not playing IWD at the moment 'cos the CDs and the CDROM player have worn out from too much adventuring, but I still like to read the boards to see who is out there.
So keep posting everyone.
