Ok is the error message something like "insert CD0 with file data3.cab?"
If so it is a common problem and is mainly cause by CD being scratched. I had it too, got one of those scratch removal kits and it worked fine.
You can try also this (which seems to have worked for other people)
Right click on my computer, select properties then somewhere you have to put 'no read ahead' in cdrom file system property. Also try switching DMA off.
