The add-on is Trials of the Luremaster, frequently abbreviated as TOLM, TOTLM, TOTL. You should definitely install all of it before you begin playing, because the additions also act as patches, with TOLM being the final patch. For download sites, you can search within this forum for links or use a search engine.

As for new game playing tips, lately my thing is a fighter heavy party enhanced by a bard, while experimenting with dual classes. I'm also considering playing without a theif. Include a character with infravision in your party. If you have a ranger, have skeletal undead as your natural enemy, as they appear throughout the game.

Also, since it wouldn't be a spoiler for you, I'd invest a little time reading some of the old posts here, if you haven't already. People have some great strategies for different areas.
