Thanks for the hint, Turwyn. BG2 also never was a problem on my PC. Strange thing, that. I'm going to bed now, but tomorrow I'll give Dundee's suggestion a try, though I am not very happy to hear I have to turn down the available game performance and play with parts of the features only, despite my PC ought to be more than sufficient. Anyway, thank you too, Dundee.
