TL I don't know if you have tried this but, I like to bait the bad guys out one at a time. I take my thief Hide in shadows and sneak forward to see where everyone is. Then I move the rest of the party up just so you can see one bad guy. He will usually attack. Let him come at you while you beat on him with missle weapons. If that does'nt kill him, when he gets close go melee with just the Tanks and it should bring him down. This strat does'nt work on all the battles however it does work real well in clearing out hoards of undead and beetles and all the others one at a time before they can attack you en masse.
