R. A.'s books are great, until you get past siege of darkness, that's where it all really started becoming more of the same to me, and Spine of the World, his novel about Wulfgar is a horrid piece of trash, abysmal even. sea of swords wasn't much better, as if you've read Homeland in the dark elf trilogy you know who the villain is before any of the tell-tale clues begin appearing. I really enjoyed the cleric quintet, and recommend it highly. Servant of the shard is also highly recommended, as it provides a very nice look into the psyche of the villain Drizzt battle all the way through the IWD trilogy and many of the later books
