I am starting a solo game right now. I am going to give TotLM a try with it I am thinking it will be quit difficult even on normal.

I am planning on using a Fighter/Mage/Theif.

It doesn't seem possible to create a cleric/theif combination. Do you really think a theif is necessacary? I am thinking of trying a cleric combination instead. I will lose out on Backstab but I will still have detect traps, and knock, and I will not have to carry around tons of healing potions. Advice on Theif vs. Cleric for solo? Which is better?
