I would change the ** in staves to missiles or bows. I would also recommend you wait until at least level 3 before you dual your fighter. You will get one more prof point at that level and can thus have a mage with *** in a range weapon. The mage is a more active character later in the game and less so early on, at least for me anyway, so you may find you don't need a mage through the first few areas of the game. At fighter level 6 you'll get another prof point and at level 7 +1/2 attack, if you can hold out that long. Sorry but I don't remember when your TH decreases with a fighter so there may be sweetspots for that too. Also make sure you have max HP per level checked under options in the config program to get the most out of your dual fighter/mage.
As far as the druid goes, your options are more limited. It is always wise to have a range weapon for each character. Druids can use slings or darts.

Minor Spoiler (but nothing about specific weapons!)

There are only a few decent staves in the game. Your druid may be a better option for a staff prof point.
The druid can only use scimitars under the long sword category. There are very few but the ones you will find are pretty good.
Also consider getting another blunt type prof in there on one character or another, your dwarf perhaps, for any nasty undead you may come across.
