Larry's right. It is not possible to import BG-series charcters into IWD or vice versa. One might be able to use an editing program like Dalekeeper to reproduce BG characters for use in IWD, however. The problem with game editors is, of course, that the temptation to cheat one's way through the game can become very strong.
