There are a couple of solutions:

There is a 2nd level clerical spell called FIND TRAPS (assuming you have a cleric in your party).

Also the potion of perception or potion of master thievery wil augment thief skills (not sure exactly how each thief is affected though). Those can help also.

You can always take on the yuan-ti outside of Yuxonomei's (she's the little girl) chambers first, go back and rest and THEN come back and take her on!
