My paladine also got as low as -16 without magical spells. A high DEX, a good weapon, sound armor, and a nice shield contributed to such a low AC though.
The problem that I have is that even at -16 AC my character is still being hit by weakling creatures. Oh well, I have enough hitpoints to compensate. . . . I hope.
