Hehe, yah, but flails are flails, not maces
Maces are maces and morningstars. Both categories have some sweet weapons though. However, as a fighter/cleric, you'll start with 4 weapon proficiences (gee, that's 2 in sling, 2 in a weapon) and by level 6, fighter, you'll have 2 more in the other... so mastering both flails and maces is pretty easy.
