I'd be wary about casting spells at enemies before entering dialogue with Yuxonemai. If she enters into dialogue with anyone during a someone's spell casting, the spell will likely be broken.
I had a 4 player party. Ranger/cleric, cleric/mage Fighter(8lev thief/8lev fighter) and a Bard.
I immediately fled Yuxonemai's chamber and ran west to the western corridor just outside her chambers. I ran to the last room with all my weakest characters. The Ranger/Cleric cast "Entangle" in the corridor to the last room while the bard cast "Web" in the same spot. Between those two spells, most of the archers and such were held. The Cleric/mage threw 2 or 3 fireballs into the mess and that took care of the archers. Lasty, to kill the Boss.
I did this by having the ranger/cleric cast "call upon holy might". The ceric/mage hasted him while the bard cast "spirit armor" on him. Then sent the tank in with a +3 mace and went to town. It was bloody, and my cleric/mage had to stand behind the ranger/cleric casting heal spells during the fight; but eventually she died.
Summoned goons are only worth fodder and to lure enemies away in this battle.
