I'm terribly depressed that i spent $30 for a wishy-washy expansion that mirrirs BG1's Swords Coast expansion much more than it has anything to do with BG2 (like the manual brags). The only thing it has to do with BG2 is the drop away interface and some new spells. I was terribly disappointed that there were no class kits or new weapon proficiency slots. I was so looking forward to dual weapon style, but instead they left the profiencies the same.. and the ranger still gets that "2 1/2 attacks at first level with specialization" cheese. I haven't dove too deeply into the expansion yet as i am playing thru again with a new party so see what kinds of changes have been made to the original game (and to get some cool items to start the expansion with).
I do like that bards get a number of songs they can sing... tracking is cool... and the druid shape changes are neat too... but that's a pretty minor expansion to make us wait 9 months for.
