Find out exactly what Draconis does that makes him do difficult to defeat, and try to figure out ways to counteract that.

Dragon Slayer and Dragon's Bane are, frankly, lousy weapons, even against Dragons. Would you rather carry a +2 weapon which acts as +6 against Dragons, although it can't even hit some of them, or a weapon that's +4 against everything and has some neato on-hit effects as well? I didn't know that Dragon's Bane's Fear immunity didn't work, are you sure that the weapon was actually equipped properly at the time?

I don't know why Dragon's Breath (the spell) didn't work, it's possible Draconis was under Mirror Image, or had happened to run out of the area of effect. Maze can be blocked by Magic Resistance. Your castings of Lower Resistance probably failed because of something that I'm not going to tell you about because I want you to find it out for yourself.

On the whole, your PC and Aerie have the best chance of taking him down.

But forget Draconis, where the hell is your Thief?!?
