It's just as good. You get a bunch of nifty items, but not all of the items you might want to carry over.
Flail of Ages? Yes.
Celestial Fury? No.
Black Spider Figurine? Yes.
SoTM? No.
But don't worry about that... There is no lack of good equipment in ToB. You should be just fine.
