Use horrid wilting first and then send in your paladin and mordekanians sword because you can cast dragons breath on him while they are in there because it does not effect your characters.

ADhW (Abu Dalzim's Horrid Wilting) also is a party friendly spell (i.e. damages only hostiles) and actually the most effective SoA area spell.
