Then when Sendai did appear, we had one INSTANT in which she was unprotected, and we hit her hard enough to kill her just before her protections came up. Kudos to Sarevok for the lucky 200 damamge hit. Nice one, brother.

Thing is, I emailed Kish about this after that, and he said he might well prevent it from happening, so I don't know if that'll work for you. You have an Assassin... how good is he/she at Detecting Illusions? A high DI score will make Sendai's images just go POP! and disappear faster than anything else, really. It's not affected by Immunity: Divination, heehee. Trouble is, an Assassin is a bit more specialised than most thieves, so you might not be any good at DI.
Right! Good one! I know that DI ignores PIivination and tough luck... my Assasain has 100 DI. I will try it!
the other classic techniques to hitting a spell immunity divination and improved invisible spell caster is to use a chained contingency ruby ray triple...(triple in case they have spell shield up)...or use a wand of spell striking, they can target improved invisible creatures...

urm...you really want around 125 or 150 scores in detect invisible...

a variant of the same naughty evil trick to attacking before spell protections up can be used like this...

put assassin and mage or sorc near where sendai spawns, and have the sorc prepare a spell triggered sunfires and a spell sequenced skull traps...make the assassin immune to fire, using spells, and immune to magic energy...make the sorc or mage immune to magic energy

with high feedback on, you can see what sendai buffs up with...should she buff first with elemental resistance first, cast the spell sequencer loaded up with skulltraps on self, IMMEDIATELY! you are monitoring what buffing spells they are loading first, hit with the alternative right away...

its a naughty little scripting exploit, since scripts run sequentially, by finding out what protection spells are loaded first, you can hit them with alternative damage before they get to the script that loads the rest of their protections...

in fact, this is the easy way to kill tactics mod liches...most of the liches in tactics mod will load up on elemental protections first, so a fast strike with improved azuredge has a really good chance of undead blasting them before their protection from magic energies go up...
