First time I defeated Improved Sendai I cheated royally. Defeated her statues, then everyone ran to the centre of the room whilst the last statue was being killed. Everyone hit Whirlwind, Greater Whirlwind, Assassination, anything I could scrounge. Then when Sendai did appear, we had one INSTANT in which she was unprotected, and we hit her hard enough to kill her just before her protections came up. Kudos to Sarevok for the lucky 200 damamge hit. Nice one, brother.

Thing is, I emailed Kish about this after that, and he said he might well prevent it from happening, so I don't know if that'll work for you. You have an Assassin... how good is he/she at Detecting Illusions? A high DI score will make Sendai's images just go POP! and disappear faster than anything else, really. It's not affected by Immunity: Divination, heehee. Trouble is, an Assassin is a bit more specialised than most thieves, so you might not be any good at DI.
