Too many posts to reply to, so I'll just write everything here.

1) The first time I converted Sarevock, I made him swear the Geas. I did not have Ascension at that time, and no ToB mods.

2) Do not boot out Sarevock at any time. It can cause the scripts to go amok.

3) Ctrl+J (at least I think it's J, could be I) will force the conversion IF the game has progressed enough.

4) I highly do NOT recommend Ascension if this is your first time playing ToB. Ascension is very, very hard for a first-timer, and can even frustrate veterans.
