I would just like to make it clear that I already know everything about Jaheira's Quest and Romance (the early parts, anyway). I know that one can be done without the other, I know what kind of LoveTalk responses will kill the Romance, I know that her Harper Quest is put on hold in Chapters 4-5 because Reviane certainly isn't going to lead her troop of Harpers into the Underdark looking for you. I want to make it clear that I have never screwed up anything Jaheira-related myself: The bugs take care of that perfectly well on their own.

I thank you for your kind thoughts (and, I'm sure, pity), but I do not *need* people telling me that I have to Rest outside. Those who write entire Guides covering pretty much every aspect of the game are very rarely in need of help with a specific quest.

Moving on to my latest exploits; man, this game is getting more farcical by the minute! As if my Jaheira problems weren't enough, we developed a bug in Nalia's quest too--although that seems to have resolved itself--and imagine my shock when Anomen FAILED his Test. (I went back and discovered that in our fight with the Githyanki, Jaheira had gotten Confused and whacked a Commoner. Ooops. Auto-Save.) As far as Jaheira is concerned, though, it turns out that I wasn't done with everything in Chapters 2 & 3 after all--I should have Rested once more. As soon as the party emerged from my typical "No Resting, at all, in Chapters 4 & 5," we zipped back to Athkatla, rescued Nalia, had Anomen knighted, and caught some Zzz's. And then, in the morning, Jaheira pops up with another Romance nightmare! Ah, jeez. Next thing you know, she's Flirting with me, but I'm in no mood (Stupid b* let bugs kill her Quest before I had an opportunity to get the Ring), so I tell her I don't want to flirt right now. Silly me didn't know that this would kill the Romance. And then, wonder of wonders, out comes Meronia!

Status: Sent Reviane off safely, had first meeting with Dermin. Imoen likes her spiffy new Ring. Have used SK to change JAHEIRAROMANCEACTIVE and FWJAHEIRASTARTFLIRTSOA back to 1.
