Wild mage is essentially a mage that has a chance (with every casting) to get an unexpected effect. That is called wild surge. For example, you want to cast a fireball on that goblin, but suddenly you realize that you became the spells target. Reload.
There are good effects, too. You cast Chromatic Orb (+6 save bonus), but the surge says that the spell allows no save .
Sorcerer is a mage-like spellcaster who doesn't learn spells from scrolls, he chooses them as he gains levels. He also doesn't have to choose which spells he wants to memorize before rest - he can cast any spell he knows.
For example, a sorc knows these 1st level spells: Magic Missile, Grease and Armour, and he can cast five first level spells. So he can cast either five MMs, or one Greas and four Armours, or two MMs, one Armour, and two Greases, etc.
Sorcerer has no primary abilities. Intelligence doesn't do anything useful for him as it does for mages.
