Interesting point: Haer'Dalis will only have these resistances if he joins you at level 19 - which usually means that if you'll take him before the Underdark, he won't have them.
And no, recruiting him at a lower level and levelling up all the way to 19 won't do.
I wouldn't call them "moderate" resistances, either. Level 19 H'D will have 15% Physical Resistance all around, 25% Fire Resistance (both "magical" and "regular") and 50% Cold Resistance (again, "magical" & "regular"). Decent.

Hardiness. Originally, there was a bug that allowed Hardiness to be cumulative with itself. BaldurDash claimed to have fixed this bug, but I have noticed that the Hardiness gained from Wish is still stackable--and it affects the entire party, to boot. And regular Hardiness will stack with Wish Hardiness.

I noticed that, too. It's in the Spells Reference.

There's really no such thing as immunity to magical attacks, as so many killer spells ignore Magic Resistance, and more are popping up all the time.

Hmmm... I can only think of one "magical attack" that will bypass 100% Magic Resistance, -8 save vs. spells
and The Cloak (the Cloak in my version, at least, which deflects AoE spells, too).

But 100% MR is still an extremely valuable asset,...

This is so important, it cannot be overstated (especially for soloers). With 100% MR, you'll waltz through the game.
