Actually, that would have had no negative effect at all: Projected Images have
NO physical attacks, so a Projected Golem can do precisely diddly-squat: The original is Held in place while the Image runs around casting spells. This is why you've never seen Dundee extol the merits of Project Image->Tenser's Transformation.
In that instance, I would have a ball: While the Golem Images are running around trying to hit people, just have the Image of one of your spellcasters
cast a spell to deal a small amount of damage to every one of your party members. Yes,
hurt your own party members. Not a lot, just enough to dispel their Images so they (the real party members) can attack. Now that you've got your Tanks back, you are free to take out the Golems--one by one, at your leisure--while your casters can freely use up every spell they've got, since they'll get them all back once the Image wears off.
