I disagree. Level Drain immunity is cheap, since all paladins' kits can use the Amulet of Power. Of course, your Mage will usually wear it, but you can give it for your Paladin for specific encounters like vampire hunting.
I find both the Inquisitor and the Cavalier way superior to the Undead Hunter, due to the fact that in ToB, unlike SoA, Undead is nothing compared to the sheer abundance of Mages and Demons.
Besides, Charm and Hold are saveable - and your frontliners' should have negative saves anyway by then.

He is also able to use the Carsomyr, +5 Holy Avenger (may be upgraded to +6 with the Eye of Tyr or some other add on). The Holy Avenger is the best weapon in the game in my humble opinion. You can get to 70+% magic resistance with it and an amulet and the Ring of Gaxx (another useful item).

Carsomyr's MR cannot be stacked with other items, because it doesn't
add MR - it
sets MR.
