Question Mark

The Vorpal sword of the AD&D realm is designed to sever the head of the stricken on a natural roll of 18-20. This presented a problem in killing creatures whose heads are out of reach like dragons and giants, multi-headed creatures like hydras, regenerators like trolls, and all-head creatures like beholders. Anyone wearing a collar of stiffness would be immune to this head-lopping effect.
The vorpal in this game doesn't seem to make these distinctions. Also, on critical fumbles, there was a chance of the weilder killing his/her/itself. I think this too is missing.
