Ah missile weapons. Gods bless them, and all who fire them in anger (but not at my party).
I can't speak for BG2 'cause I still haven't started.
But in IWD were you can get some impressive levels, characters can still find a use for such weapons, no matter what their level. Such a comforting thought.
