There are actually 2 serperate globe of blade spells.
Globe of blades and
blade barrier
try not to get them mixed up as they can both be cast simaltaniously
so you can cause some serious damage to any opponant close to you with out even attacking.

If you want a good combo try

Globe of blades + blade barrier + aura of flaming death

this will cause a total of 10d10 + 8d8 + 2d10+2 against any enemy stupid enough to come near you.

So this means that any enemy attacking you in close combat can recieve anything between 22 - 186 points of damage about every 6 seconds.

Mot to mention the +4 bonus to armour class and 90% resistance to fire that you receive. A pretty good combo if you ask me

My point being take globe of blades(summon elelmental prince is very good as well)
