Both are absolutely worth having. You can complete the game with both of them in your party. Jaheira is the difficult one, I always thought she was a bit useless in my 1st games party, but during the game I grew a weird relatioship with her and therefore couldnīt throw her out anymore, even though I wanted to. I had four archer/fighters in my party; me, Khalid, Minsc and Imoen. And I tell you, Khalid makes a great archer.
If you ask me, none of the characters are really annoying. They would be if they would interrupt the game every ten seconds, but overall everyone stay pretty quiet.
