I think that the problem of turning Imoen to a vampire is the loss of the soul.If you kill Imoen the vampire and then you kill Bodhi Imoen's soul will be lost forever.There would be nothing to anchor it to the prime material and so it would head for the afterlife.
One solution would be to keep Imoen the Vampire alive throughout the battle with bodhi but what then?
