Heh, heh.....I finally, FINALLY started an Evil game myself--first time I'm actually gonna get serious with it. The gods themselves are gonna tremble before I'm done: I rolled a Neutral Evil Cleric/Mage with stats of 5/18/18/18/18/18. We're marching up & down the Sword Coast in BG1 right now--kill me quick, while I'm weak! Before I'm done, I expect to have stats of 25/20/19/20/24/21. Ye gods!
That's a darn good point, Barry! I didn't even notice ANY rep. loss when I killed Drizzt & Company, but then I didn't Save afterward, so I can't be sure. But by far, my most ANNOYING experience with Rep. loss was this: You know that little house in Amkethran that you have to go through to reach the higher parts, like Marlowe's house? Well, as I was dragging my party through there, I saw that the Commoner and her Boy were asleep, so they wouldn't see me if I looked at their tables to see if there was anything interesting. 1 gp on each one, hoo boy. But then I go through the house again, 2 days later, and THEN they accuse me of robbing them! Man, if I was gonna go around killing peasants, that would be a good time to start.
