Equip your best fighter with Psionic Blade and have him/her drink a couple of the Mind Focusing potions as well as an oil of speed. If the aforementioned fighter is not your PC, equip your PC with Rod of Resurrection and move him/her away from the flayers, preferably while invisible. Be tactical.
Everyone else should be nailing the mind flayers with missile weapons.
