Things like Spell Sequencer & Spell Trigger probably deserve a mention as well--but then again, once you get Improved Alacrity (and the Amulet of Power & the Robe of Vecna), do they really matter?

IMHO, Sorcerors are decent, but I'm much more a fan of the versatility of Dual- and Multi- classes. You want REAL casting power? I've got a Cleric/Mage, Levels 24/20, with stats of 19/19/17/20/23/21. (The STR is from a Girdle, but all the others are innate.)
