I fiddled with the wish spell once with NearInfinity and made it so that Rest was always cast. Unlimited spells sort of ruined it though, but its faster than PI and Wishing till you get the option.
As for getting rid of the PI, I just have him cast a Skull Trap at me, when Im hit he dies instantly. I always have Prot from Magic Energy on, and with Belt of Inertia the Skull Trap actually heals me if Im damaged as well.
