Easy.....bloody hell, I don't know. Near the end there is at least a dozen very tough battles. If played at Normal and above this should provide tremendous challenges. The spell casters are very tough.
How high a level are your characters?
Personally I enjoy trying to see how far I can go without resting, it makes the game a lot of fun. Alternatively if you rest up often then I agree the game is much easier. Also I do not use the traps, too easy and boring, should be cut out of the game in my opinion.
Infact after playing through about halfway through the game I found it a little tedious in that I was always fighting mages / or solving puzzles. The game slows down a lot.
I bought IWD and really enjoyed a real hack, putting TOB down for months.
Came back to TOB, and again enjoyed it, but for real hacking fun and decent story try IWD, and it ain't easy if played at hard level.
