Dragon Slaying method 9
Firstly discover what breath weapon the dragon uses. Then, configure your best ranged fighter with items which will collectively give 100% resistance (and or scroll + potions) to the dragons type of breath weapon (eg. Red=fire, Silver=Cold etc.). Then attack the dragon with only the previousely configured character in sight of it. Now either lead it to a small gap it can't get through and nail it with the ranged weapon (very effective
) or if there are no nearby gaps, make sure the resisting character can move really fast and get the dragon to chase him/her whilst the rest of the party pepper it with powerful ranged weapons.
Result: 1 dead dragon, no dead party members (hopefully
