Do you have the patch?
Is your PC being overworked?
Have you called Customer complaints at Interplay?
I have never heard of a bug of this sort.
Maybe someone else will post in a bit to offer further help.
The only thing I could suggest (after having the patch)
is to turn off some enviroment stuff like hearing footstep, weather, transparent shadows, etc...It has helped alot of people before...myself included!
