Click on the pocket plane icon... you can go there from ANYWHERE, time outside practically freezes so you can rest, have a few drinks, play with a few spells, have a few items created, and pop right back like no time passed.
I just downed two dragons using this strategy
Only thing to remember, your party doesn't have to be all together, but they will appear right where they left off when you exit the pocket plane.
