Have you called their tech. support?
Since all of us are going to be new to this game, (I have not even got home yet with mine,) you may get a better response from Interplay.
Call the Tech Support...or take it back to the store and exchange it for another one, explaining that yours is faulty...They'll take it back....good luck.
