Okay.. When my laptop crashed a year ago, I had someone go into my hard drive and back up most of my files. I just started the process of getting them all back, and my entire collection of BG-related files are among them. That means that, in addition to the modding I've done (thank goodness), I also had the BG files themselves backed up. So I transferred BGmain to my laptop, and everything else from the CD is good. Tomorrow I'm going to try and install it from my hard drive... I have my fingers crossed.
Edit- New avatar, eh? I go from acid-spewing demon to a unicorn. I'll take "Opposite ends of a spectrum" for 400, Alex.
