I managed to come with a plausible story (as far as I could see) to have Dynaheir come back into the NeverWinter Nights era. I had her brought back via Ilmater and Mystra. I did have parts of her original strengths removed and something else to fill the "hole in her soul." So now she shouldn't actually remember any of the events of Baldur's Gate I, but still serves the Coucil of Witches in Rasheman. I am not sure if I mentioned if she does remember Minsc or not. That would make for something interesting if I was the one programming this all. It's been sent off to the person in charge though, so they'll let me know if I have to rework the little tale. (only two paragraphs long.) I also brought back Branwen and Alora from the Baldur's Gate I - even though I never cleared the game and don't know if they were supposed to have survived the first part of the story. Now, for the Baldur's Gate II characters. I figure that may take me a few weeks if I am patient enough and just do one each day. (just doing the female characters... and MINSC!!!)
story as I had it...
Quote:
Once guarded by the barbarian Minsc, she was slain during the events surrounding the Bhaalspawn. Hearing word of this by a rather distraught Minsc, the Witches of the Rasheman sent one of their agents to find the body of this promising young Witch and bring her back to them. What they found, however, was not what they expected...
An ally of the Harper association, a youth named Ustir Omertani, found her after the battle and brought her to his village. Knowing her soul to be a pure one, the village elder - a high priest of Ilmater - begged his god to bring her back to life. Ilmater smiled upon this request, but was not the one to answer; Mystra herself chose to raise Dynaheir back from the gray. Of course, this did not come without a price - upon Dynaheir's spine is a magical tattoo which brands her as one of Mystra's agents. As well, some of Dynaheir's strength and memory was lost in her ressurection but what she gained in return was nothing short of... amazing.
Eventually returning to the Witches of Rashemen, Dynaheir was sent to Waterdeep to investigate rumours of female magic-users (wizards and sorceresses both) disappearing off of their streets. It is here where she will find her future and her destiny - hopefully not to perish again on the edge of an unseen blade.
