I worry about the two people who never memorize Stoneskin. That's an interesting tactical decision

I would be the second one. Quite frankly, I abhore the use of direct damage spells that do only damage. Whenever I have a wizard in my partry, I have that wizard focus on disabling spells. Doing small amounts of damage versus fully incapacitating your opponent is a [sarcasm] really hard decision. [/sarcasm]
But digression is the path to evil. The reason I don't use stoneskin, is because I can find a more practical use of a spell slot. If I have Protection ffrom Missiles, and either Protection from Normal or Magical weapons active, stoneskin seems like a waste of time. Either way, if my opponents are incapacitated, why would I need it?
And besides that, contrary to popular belief, if you keep your mage out of danger, you don't need those spells
